ScanCOVER fabrics for the manufacturing of tarpaulins, insulation covers, and other protective solutions

ScanCOVER cover fabrics are designed to withstand heavy wear and varying weather conditions, making them exceptionally well-suited for outdoor use. The fabrics are suitable for manufacturing tarpaulins, insulation covers, truck curtains, and other protective solutions.

Our cover fabrics can be customized to meet individual requirements, and they can be printed with customer-specific patterns and colors. The fabrics are also available in designs such as stripes and camouflage patterns.

Woven or knitted base fabric depending on the application

At the core of ScanCOVER fabrics is either a knitted or woven base fabric, which provides the desired strength. The choice of base fabric also affects the drape and handling properties of the material, including stiffness and flexibility. Scanplan products use a knitted base fabric, while Vinyplan products use a woven base fabric.

The most commonly used cover material is a flexible and highly foldable ½ Panama weave, which, when combined with a knitted base fabric, provides excellent tear strength and durability. Thanks to its stable structure, the fabric does not stretch, retains its shape well, and stays securely in place over time. A knitted base fabric is suitable for applications requiring tear resistance and repeated handling or movement.

A woven base fabric is the right choice when high tensile strength and overall strength are required. It is commonly used, for example, in truck curtains.

Fabric surface can be finished with a lacquer

The surface of the fabric can be finished with a lacquer during manufacturing, making it easier to handle. Our fabrics are available with either acrylic- or PVDF-based coatings.

Our cover fabrics are also available in a food-contact compliant formulation. This means the product can be used in applications involving contact with food, such as protective covers, storage solutions, conveyor belts, and tanks.
