At the core of every coated fabric is a high-quality base fabric, either knitted or woven, selected based on the specific performance requirements. The base fabric determines key properties such as:

• tensile strength

• tear resistance

• flexibility and stiffness

• handling and installation characteristics

Scanplan product range utilizes a knitted base fabric, while Vinyplan product range is based on a woven structure.

A knitted base fabric is ideal for applications requiring high tear resistance and flexibility, such as industrial doors that are frequently opened, closed, or mechanically stressed.

A woven base fabric provides superior tensile strength and dimensional stability, making it the preferred choice for:

• large structures (e.g. halls)

• heavy-duty industrial doors

• applications requiring long-term structural integrity

Each solution is tailored to meet the demands of the intended end use.

Flame-retardant materials compliant with EN 13501-1

Our industrial fabrics are designed to meet stringent fire safety requirements in construction and industrial environments. We offer materials in the following fire classifications:

• C-s2

• B-s2, d0 (enhanced fire performance)

All classifications comply with EN 13501-1.

In the event of fire, our materials:

• do not produce burning droplets

• are self-extinguishing once the flame source is removed

This makes them a safe and reliable choice for demanding applications where fire performance is critical.

Anti-mold protection for long-term cleanliness

Our coated fabrics are treated with anti-mold agents (biocides) that effectively prevent mold growth, even in humid or demanding environments. This ensures:

• long-lasting cleanliness

• reduced maintenance needs

• improved product lifespan

We only use chemicals that are approved for use in Europe and fully comply with the REACH regulation.

UV-resistant materials for extended service life

ScanTECH Industrial fabric is a long-lasting solution

Our industrial fabrics are built for long-term performance under heavy mechanical stress, with lifespans that can extend over decades. Key benefits include:

• consistent quality across large production volumes

• ease of handling and installation

• long-term dimensional stability

During manufacturing, the fabric surface is finished with a protective lacquer, either acrylic-based coating or PVDF-based coating for enhanced durability. The lacquering improves resistance to dirt, weathering, and wear.

Maintenance

To keep the fabric looking its best and to extend its lifespan, we recommend regular cleaning and maintenance. Take a look at our care instructions for fabrics coated with PVC or PVC/PU.
