PVC-coated industrial fabrics provide excellent protection and durability in demanding weather conditions and environments. They are highly suitable, for example, for the construction of buildings and industrial doors.
Woven or knitted base fabric depending on the application
At the core of the fabrics is either a knitted or woven base fabric, which gives the product its desired strength. The choice of base fabric also affects the drape and handling properties of the material, such as stiffness and flexibility. Scanplan products use a knitted base fabric, while Vinyplan products use a woven base fabric.
The base fabric is always selected according to the application. A knitted base fabric is ideal for applications requiring tear strength, such as doors, since they are frequently moved or handled.
A woven base fabric is the right choice when tensile strength and high durability are required. It is well suited for structures such as halls. Woven base fabric is also an optimal choice for large and heavy doors.
Flame-retardant materials
The ScanTECH industrial fabrics are specially designed for use in all kinds of building constructions and industrial doors, meeting fire safety standards with two levels of flame resistance: either C-s2, or the stricter B-s2, d0, both in line with EN 13501-1. In case of a fire, our products do not drip burnin material and will self-extinguish once the flame source has been removed.
Anti-mold protection prevents mold formation
The biocides or anti-mold agents used in our products prevent mold, keeping the materials clean and well-maintained for long periods of time. We use only chemicals that are approved for use in Europe in our materials. Read more about the European Union's REACH regulation.
UV protection extends the lifespan of coated fabric
Our industrial fabrics are UV-protected, and we have carefully adjusted our material formulations to account for the increasing intensity of UV radiation. ScanTECH Industrial fabric is a long-lasting solution
Our industrial fabrics are designed to withstand long-term use and heavy stress, with a lifespan that can extend up to decades. The material is easy to handle and install and remains stable over time. The fabric surface is finished with a lacquer during manufacturing, with options including acrylic- or PVDF-based coatings.
