ScanSAFE fabrics for oil booms, chemical tanks, environmental spill response, and rescue applications
PVC/PU blended coating makes the fabric chemically resistant
Thanks to the PVC/PU coating, the ScanSAFE fabrics offer significantly better resistance to chemicals than standard PVC fabrics. Despite the PVC/PU blend coating, the weight and structure of the fabric remain almost the same as in conventional PVC fabrics.
Base fabric selected according to the application
A woven base fabric is mainly used in ScanSAFE fabrics, as their applications require high tensile strength and overall durability. For example, oil booms and environmental spill response situations place high demands on the material, which must withstand harsh conditions and environments.
Products are also available with a knitted base fabric. For example, fabric 4150, suitable for protective clothing, uses a knitted polyester/cotton blend base fabric. This helps prevent heat sources from burning holes into the material. In addition, the fabric is flame-retardant.
Our range also includes a fabric suitable for drinking water applications.
